Introduction

This beautiful insect is only known from the male holotype collected at Lane Cove, a suburb of Sydney.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Transcephalic stripe present. Aedeagal shaft undivided, with a pair of short spines on anterior margin and a single, ventrally directed spine extending from posterior margin. Apical notch of paramere almost closed distally (Stevens 1994).

Stevens (1994) also provided a comprehensive description and figures of the species.
