Introduction
Pupoides is a widely distributed group within Australia occurring mostly in drier forests and shrubland. The genus is distinguished form other Australian pupillids by the combination of elongately conical shape and an aperture with a single parietal barrier. It includes both dextrally coiled and sinistrally coiled species.
