Introduction

Pupisoma orcula is a wide ranging species having been recorded from South Africa, India, Indonesia, New Guinea, Hawaii. The species was first from Australia by Solem (1989). Pupisoma porti from eastern Australia may be a synonym but topotypic collections of this species will be necessary in order to resolve the issue. Recorded from Kimberley coast by Köhler et al. (2012: 26).

Arboreal, low closed forest.

Extra Ecological Information

Living on twigs and branches of shrubs and vines.

 

Diagnosis

Shell minute to very small, brown, turbinate with relatively high spire; sculpture of distinct growth lines and finer spiral threads; whorls rounded, sutures deeply impressed; columella moderately broad, sinuous; umbilicus almost closed to closed; height 2mm.
