Introduction
The combination of a turbinate shaped shell and lack of apertural barriers separates Pupisoma from other Australian pupillid genera. Glyptopupoides also lacks barriers, but has an slender elongate shell. Stanisic et al. (2017) treat Turbolaoma Iredale, 1937 (type Laoma turbinuloidea Gabriel, 1930) as a junior synonym of Pupisoma, with L. turbinuloidea as junior synonym of Pupisoma porti (Brazier, 1876).
