Introduction

Pupisoma circumlitum is common in some localities, but is often difficult to see because the shell is usually encrusted with dirt. It can be distinguished from the often sympatric P. porti by the more open umbilicus.

Diagnosis

Shell minute to very small, bronze to dark brown, depressedly turbinate; sculpture of distinct growth lines and fine spiral threads; whorls rounded with impressed sutures; columella broad; narrowly umbilicate; height 2mm.
