Diagnosis

Carapace with lateral process. First antenna: proximal filament of b- and c-bristles on male with large disclike sucker. Second antenna: endopod short, 1-segmented. Maxilla: exopod well-developed; 1st endopodal segment broad with cutting tooth. Sixth limb: 6 to 8 bare bristles in place of epipod; posterior bristles of end segment not markedly different from remaining bristles of segment. Seventh limb: sclerotised ridge opposite comb with several small teeth. Furca: 2nd, or 2nd and 4th claws united to lamella.
