Ptecticus longipes Walker 1861. Catalogue of the dipterous insects collected at Dorey, New Guinea, by Mr. A. R. Wallace, with descriptions of new species. Journal of the Proceedings of the Linnean Society of London 5(19): 229-254.

Ptecticus longipes (Walker, 1861).

Introduction

Known previously from Indonesia, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands, this species has since been recorded from Kutini-Payamu (Iron Range) National Park, Queensland.
