Holothuria phantapus Strussenfelt, 1765 by original designation, see Clark, H.L. 1946. The echinoderm fauna of Australia. Its composition and its origin. Carnegie Institution of Washington Publication 566: 1-567 [413] (who stated that 'Oken listed 3 species in his proposed genus, but Jaeger (1833) ignored one of these and putHolothuria squamatus inCuvieria. Hence we must accept Holothuria phantapus as the type of Psolus...').
