Species Pseudoceros peripurpureus Newman & Cannon, 1994

Introduction

Newman & Cannon (1994) observed that this species is similar superficially to Pseudoceros caeruleocinctus Hyman, 1959; they were unable to determine if the specimens from Heron Island would be best attributed to P. caeruleocinctus, despite examining the holotype, because of the poor condition of the type material.
