Introduction
This species is designated by Newman & Cannon (1994) as being synonymous with specimens of Poulter (1987) which were attributed to Pseudobiceros sp. The colouration of P. stellae is very similar to that of the nudibranch Dendrodoris nigra (Stimpson, 1855), with which this flatworm is commonly found in association. Newman & Cannon (1994) suggested that these species may be mimics.
