Introduction

Prolesophanta dyeri differs from P. nelsonensis by lacking an umbilicus. The species is a scavenging carnivore and feeds on dead and living snails.

Diagnosis

Shell minute, pale and glassy with darker reddish-yellow radial rays, discoidal, last whorl large and flared; protoconch smooth, teleoconch sculpture of radial growth ridges; umbilicus absent; diameter 3-4mm.
