Holotype LUC LUC-159 slide (whole mount) (intertidal in fine to medium sand.), Fannie Bay, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
Introduction
Based on studies of the prostatoid stylets, Curini-Galletti (1998) found differences between the stylets of specimens from Cairns and those of the type population; unable to make any definitive diagnosis, Curini-Galletti recognised the Cairns specimens as Polystyliphora cf axi.
