In Australia occurs on the east coast, in and north of Moreton Bay (see Hutchings, P.A. & Glasby, C.J. 1988. The Amphitritinae (Polychaeta: Terebellidae) from Australia. Records of the Australian Museum 40: 1–60); records of the species further south need to be checked—see questionable synonymies, also overseas records of the species (other than Philippines) need to be checked.
