Records of the Australian Museum 40: 1-60 (emended the genus to included species with peristomial lobes, but restricted it to species with 17 pairs of notopodia only; all species of Pista have anterior long-handled uncini, except for Pista anthela, although in the shape of the branchiae and in the form of the lateral lobes it resembles other species in the genus)
