Diagnosis
Sandy, variable in amount and distribution of foreign detritus. Megascleres mostly frail subtylostyles or styles, with frequent transitions. Spicules scattered or in vaguely radial to plumose arrangement. Microscleres in the form of small sigmas occur in a few species. About a dozen species.
