  • Phalacrostemma maloga Hutchings, P., Capa, M. & Peart, R. 2012. Revision of the Australian Sabellariidae (Polychaeta) and description of eight new species. Zootaxa 3306: 1-60 [31, figs 6A, 18, 19, 20, table 3] [etymology: the specific name maloga is an Aboriginal word for deep water (Endacott 1973) and refers to the habitat of this species].

     Holotype AM W27566 (in 2 pieces 10+-5+ mm in length, 2 mm in width, 15-4 chaetigers, attached to mollusc shell), off Newcastle, Tasman Sea, New South Wales [33°30S, 152°06'E].
    Paratype(s) AM W27567, off Newcastle, Tasman Sea, New South Wales [32°30'S, 152°06'E]; AM W27568 6 specimens, off Newcastle, Tasman Sea, New South Wales; AM W27569, off Newcastle, Tasman Sea, New South Wales [33°40'S, 152°45'E]; AM W26681, off Newcastle, Tasman Sea, New South Wales [33°30'S, 152°06'E].
