Diagnosis

"Differs from the type subspecies in several features of the male terminalia: all lobes of periandrium longer and also relatively broader, median lobe less narrowly acuminate at apex; apical part of harpagones less curved, subbasal lobe smaller, more narrowly rounded and more nearly triangular. The aedeagus, pygophor and anal segment are similar, except that the last is a little more broadened apically. The female terminalia are very similar. The available specimens are larger than typical smithi but are insufficient to determine whether size is a diagnostic character." (Woodward 1957).
