Holotype QM T5557 ♂ (coll: 10.xii.1925, H. Hacker), Bunya Mountains, Queensland.
Introduction
A small, dark coloured species similar to P. froggatti Kirkaldy from which it can be reliably differentiated only by reference to certain structures of the male genitalia. It has been recorded in SE Queensland and from near Grafton in the NE corner of New South Wales on Acacia falcata Willd. (Fabaceae) but it is not known if this is a host plant.

All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Tegmina between veins fuscous brown, without pale costal band; Anal segment of male divided behind anal lobe into two divergent acuminate processes; Harpagones of male without a subbasal anterior lobe, with posterior margin evenly convex, without wart-like swellings; lateral lobes of periandrium with a series of spines along inner margin; aedeagus curved and ventrally extended beyond gonopore (Woodward 1957).
