Syntype(s) BPBM sex, quantity unknown (coll.: i.1905), Sydney, New South Wales.
Introduction
This is the common species of meenoplid in the coastal regions of southeastern Australia. It has been collected from Sydney and the Blue Mountains in New South Wales to Melbourne, Victoria. It is probably present in a number of other locations in both states but, being small and dark, is probably overlooked by most collectors. It has been collected from Exocarpos sp. (Santalaceae) but it is not known if this is a host plant.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
Piceous, tegmina paler, hyaline. Lateral margins and keels of head, pronotum and scutellum, clypeus, rostrum and legs, veins, tegminal granules, posterior margins of tergites, etc, yellowish testaceous. Length: 2½ mm to apex of abdomen, 4 mm to apex of tegmina (Kirkaldy 1906).
In life, the species are usually covered in a greyish white powder.
