Type species:
Phacalastor pseudomaidis Kirkaldy, 1906 by original designation.
Introduction
The single Australian species in this genus is listed in Charles Bartlett's delphacid database at http://ctap.inhs.uiuc.edu/dmitriev/index.asp as a species of Dicranotropis Fieber, as first suggested in a figure caption by Kirkaldy (1907). Fennah (1965) had the species back in Phacalastor and this is followed here because of the doubt that Dicranotropis, and other genera created for the Palaearctic fauna by Fieber (1866), are genuinely represented in Australia.
