Syntype(s) BPBM sex, quantity unknown (coll.: viii.1904), Cairns, Queensland.
Introduction
The identity of this species needs to be confirmed by examination of the type material and, hopefully, designation of a male lectotype. It is currently recorded only from the type locality in the wet tropics of North Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: parenchyma feeder.
Diagnosis
Head pale luteous; frons and clypeus with an orange tint, genae testaceous, eyes grey. Pronotum and scutellum greyish white, the former closelv reticulate with greyish-brown. Tegmina and wings milk-white hyaline, tegminal costa pale yellow. Tergites black, one or two segments partly pale; beneath pallid, more or less black laterally. Legs orange yellow. Length: 6 mm, width 1 1/8 mm. (Kirkaldy 1906).
