SYSTEMATICS

Belongs to the Phenacoccus-group of genera, characterized mainly by: antennae 9-segemented (may be reduced to 7); claw with a denticle; 3–18 pairs of cararii; the dorsum, and ventarl margins, with a combination of groups of multilocular pores surrounding at least one oral collar duct; trilocular pores present; qionquelocular pores are located on venter only.
