Genus Pedionis Hamilton, 1980

Compiler and date details

26 March 2012 - Murray J. Fletcher

Introduction

This genus was created for a small group of species from Japan, the Oriental region, New Caledonia, New Guinea and Australia. Hamilton (1980) recognised two subgenera based on the number of tegminal cells and the form of the male genitalia, one of which is monotypic and restricted to Australia and the other of which covers the rest of the distribution of the genus with a single Australian representative.
