Holotype ZMB 6005 fragments in alcohol.
Syntype(s) UWMP 20 fragment (Moroff's original label is missing. The label was rewritten by Kükenthal and says "Paraplexaura asper (Moroff). Japan". It is marked with an asterisk in the upper corner, in the same manner as other of Kükenthal's types. It is thought to be most probably a fragment of Moroff's holotype or a syntype.).
