Syntype(s) whereabouts unknown (possibly ZMA), south east of Pearl Bank, Sulu Archipelago; near Salibabu Island, between the Celebes Sea and the Pacific Ocean; near Ternate, Maluku Strait; near Manipa Island, Manipa Strait; near Binongka Island, Banda Sea; Banda Sea [4°16.5'S 130°15.8'E].
