Species Paralaea polysticha (Goldfinch, 1944)
- Stathmorrhopa polysticha Goldfinch, G.M. 1944. Notes on Australian Boarmiidae and Oenochromidae (Lepidoptera) with descriptions of new species. Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales 69: 189-197 [195].
Type data:
Lectotype ANIC ♂ (This specimen is also the holotype of Mnesampela macroptila Turner, 1947. For this latter name, Turner stated in the original description that he had one specimen. The holotype specimen of macroptila was a syntype of polysticha which Turner received from Goldfinch and is consistent with the fact that only three of the four syntypes mentioned by Goldfinch (1944) are preserved in the Australian Museum. The selection of this specimen as the lectotype of polysticha has the desirable outcome of rendering macroptila an objective synonym), New South Wales, Mittagong.
