Introduction

This plain brown species is only known from two localities in SE Tasmania. A single record in UQIC from Galston Road, Sydney, New South Wales, needs to be confirmed.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder (associated flora: Restio australis R.Brown [RESTIONACEAE]).

 

Diagnosis

General coloration pale brown. Head, thorax and tegmen punctate. Thorax and abdomen ventral surface dark brown; ventral abdominal segments with a median and a pair of lateral, pale brown longitudinal stripes. Legs pale brown. Length 6.5 mm (Evans 1942).
