Syntype(s) ZMB 17785 ♀ and ♂, Kerguelen Island
Comment: Vanhöffen (1914) refers to a male and a female specimen, although after consulting the ZMB online database, it is unclear if 17785 contains both specimens or just one. ZMB 17786 is also Tanais litoralis although the database does not refer to this specimen as a type.
