Introduction

Junco y Reyes (1946:138) included this species in his list of Australasian Priocnemis without stating whether he had examined the type. Based on the examination of this and other work by Junco y Reyes [Elliott 2007 chose] to ignore his determination as it would involve making Pachycurgus a synonym of Priocnemis, something that should be undertaken only after thourough study of the relevant material.
