Species Ophionyssus natricis (Gervais, 1844)
Introduction
The snake mite Ophionyssus natricis is the subject of a very extensive literature, because of its importance as a pest of captive reptiles. Only a few selected references are listed here. The most important review of its systematics and biology is by Camin (1953).
