Holotype SAMA ♂ (coll: Hale & Tindale, i.1927), Bathurst Head, Queensland [14°16′ S 144°12′ E].
Introduction
This species is based on a single male specimen from the Cape York Peninsula bioregion of North Queensland. The name was dedicated to Mrs Valry Ryland (Magnetic Island, Queensland) in acknowledgement for help she provided to the author and involvement in documenting the natural history of species of Olonia as published in Constant (2018).

Ecological Descriptors
All stages: phloem feeder.
Diagnosis
This species can be recognized by the following combination of characters: (1) hind wings without orange marking; (2) pro- and mesofemora and -tibiae mostly brown; (3) anal tube of male oblong, with posterior margin slightly concave and lateral margins sinuate; (4) centroventral part of gonostyli with elongate and narrow process strongly sinuate basally and with small apical hook pointing ventrally' (5) laterodorsal part of gonostyli with elongate and narrow process slightly curved lateroventrally; (6) rather small size: 7.7 mm (Constant 2018).
