Introduction

This species is based on a single male and female from a small refuge in the Einasleigh Uplands bioregion of North Queensland. It is dedicated to Geoff Monteith who collected the specimens.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species can be recognized by the following combination of characters: (1) hind wings without orange and with apical margin bordered with white in females; (2) pro- and mesofemora and -tibiae largely black-brown; (3) anal tube of male obovate after epiproct and with posterior margin truncate; (4) centroventral part of gonostyli with strong pointed processes curved laterally; (5) laterodorsal part of gonostyli bifid, with dorsal process shorter than ventral one and both directed posteriorly; (6) medium size: 8.3–9.7 mm (Constant 2018).
