Introduction

This species is only known from a single male specimen collected by Greg and Alice Daniels in the Cape York Peninsula Bioregion. The species was dedicated to Greg Daniels.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

This species can be recognized by the following combination of characters: (1) hind wings without orange marking; (2) pro- and mesofemora and tibiae largely dark brown; (3) anal tube of male narrow and parallel-sided on basal third, then subrhomboid; (4) centroventral part of gonostyli with long laminate process hooked apically; (5) laterodorsal part of gonostyli strongly curved before apex and pointing laterodorsally; (6) rather large size: 10 mm (Constant 2018).
