Oligaethus rostatus Jacobi, 1928 by original designation.
Introduction
This endemic genus is currently monotypic but at least one additional species is known in collections. The genus is found in the northern coastal regions of Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Diagnosis
Kopf spitz dreieckig verlängert, etwas aufwärts gebogen; Stirn mit drei durchlaufenden Kielen. Pronotum vorn gerundet in den Scheitel eindringend, hinten stumpfwinklig ausgeschnitten, hinter den Augen zwei Setienrandkiele. Deckflügel mit drei Längsadern, alle vor der Mitte gegabelt; eine Queraderlinie, der Apikalteil unregelmässig netzadrig, mit einer Reihe kurzer Apikalzellen. Hinterschienen dreidornig (Jacobi 1928).
