Meenoplus atrovenosus Lethierry, 1888 by monotypy.
Introduction
Nisia is distributed across the tropics from Africa to the Pacific. There are two described species in Australia with at least one additional undescribed species known. The two described species are recorded in Queensland but specimens of the genus are also known from the Northern Territory and New South Wales.

Diagnosis
The two Australian genera are easily distinguished by the front of the head. In Nisia there is no median carina although a vague indication of one may be discernible at the very base. In Phaconeura, there is a distinct median carina throughout most of the length of the frons.
