SYSTEMATICS

Newsteadia australiensis is similar to N. endroedyi, but differs in having a sensory seta close to tibial sensorium and large groups of quadrilocular and discoidal pores on the margin and on the dorsum (see Kozár, F. & Konczné Benedicty, Z. 2000. Revision of Newsteadia of the Australian and Pacific regions, with description of eleven new species (Homoptera : Coccoidea, Ortheziidae). STRUCTURE

Mounted adult female 1.2 mm long, 0.8 mm wide. Antennae 6-segmented (see Kozár, F. & Konczné Benedicty, Z. 2000.
