Taxonomic Decision for Synonymy

 

Introduction

This species, which is bright green in life, is known from widely separated localities from far western Queensland and western Victoria to SW Western Australia. The distribution includes inland arid regions as well as coastal sites although these are also mainly in drier regions. The species has been collected on species of Acacia Mill. (Fabaceae).

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder (associated flora: Acacia sp. [FABACEAE] Wattle).

 

Diagnosis

General coloration pale yellowish brown. Head with longitudinal striations; eyes reddish brown. Tegmen hyaline. Tibiae with the bases of the row of larges spines black. Length 11 mm (Evans 1938).

Length ♂ 7 mm, ♀ 9.8–13 mm (Evans 1981).
