Another beautifully enamelled species in this remarkable genus. This one has only been found in the wet tropics of North Queensland.

Ecological Descriptors

All stages: phloem feeder.

 

Diagnosis

Very close to V. vaecors, but smaller, narrower and darker. Vertex a little shorter. Pronotum with a well marked white fascia and some black marks as well as the pale brown mottlings. Female: last segment with 2 tiny median notches. Length 3¾–4 mm. (Kirkaldy 1907).
