Introduction

This is an endemic genus of six species distributed in coastal regions of southern Australia from SE Queensland to SW Western Australia. The species appear to be associated with the genus Eucalyptus l'Heritier (Myrtaceae).

Diagnosis

Small yellowish brown or black insects ranging in length from 3–6 mm. Crown of equal length with eyes. Tegmen brown or yellowish hyaline sometimes partly suffused with brown; veins pale or dark brown or black. Male genitalia: pygophore narrowing posteriorly, apically rounded, sometimes apically curved; aedeagus either broadly S-shaped and apically hammer-like or curved and apically hooked; Xth segment with a pair of curved parallel-sided processes which arise from near the base of the segment or which may seemingly be associated with an inner fold of the pygophore. Female: VIIth abdominal sternite narrowing posteriorly inwardly or outwardly curved, medially notched (Evans 1981).
