Introduction

Steiner & Goodwin (2001) suggested that N. wearnei may be a synonym of N. fallacis, but Beard (2001) and de Moraes et al. (2004) treated these two species as separate. Tixier et al. (2014) and Demite et al (2016) suggested that N. wearnei may be a synonym of N. californicus. At the time of writing in January 2017, this question remains unresolved.
