Species Mycodrosophila (Mycodrosophila) annulata Bock, 1980
- Mycodrosophila annulata Bock, I.R. 1980. Drosophilidae of Australia IV. Mycodrosophila (Insecta: Diptera). Australian Journal of Zoology 28: 261-299 [9 July] [289].
Type data:
Holotype AM K73015 ♀ (In 1990, Bock's red holotype label was removed by McEvey from Colless's Mossman Gorge specimen—incorrectly deposited in the AM—and swapped with the blue paratype label found on McAlpine's Kuranda specimen that was incorrectly deposited in the ANIC. In this way the type-labels were, in 1990, made to correspond with Bock's (1980: 289) designations. The specimens were, at the same time, placed in the correct collections: McAlpine’s Kuranda specimen is now in the AM and labelled “holotype”, Colless’s Mossman Gorge specimen is now in the ANIC and labelled paratype. These adjustments were made on the assumptions that (a) the data-labels have always been correctly attached, (b) that Bock did indeed treat McAlpine's Kuranda specimen as the primary type when he described the species, and therefore (c) the type-labels were incorrectly attached (leg. McEvey, 4 July 1990)), Kuranda, Queensland.
Paratype(s) ANIC ♀, Mossman Gorge, Queensland.
