- Mursia australiensis Campbell, B.M. 1971. New records and new species of crabs (Crustacea: Brachyura) trawled off southern Queensland: Dromiacea, Homolidea, Gymnopleura, Corystoidea, and Oxystomata. Memoirs of the Queensland Museum 16(1): 27-48 figs 1-4 pls 2-3 [31 pl. 2a,b fig. 1].

Paratype(s) QM W3297 2♂, c. 30 miles NE of Caloundra [26°31'S, 153°40'E]; QM W3298 ♂ (trawled from 55 fathoms), c. 20 miles E of Caloundra [26°48'S, 153°32.5'E]; QM W3299 3♂ (trawled from 62-5 fathoms; substrate composition - sand and shell), 18 miles N of Cape Moreton; QM W3300 3♂ (trawled from 65 fathoms), off Cape Moreton; QM W3301 10♂ 1♀ (trawled from 65 fathoms), off Cape Moreton.
