• Williams, B.G. 1973. The effect of the environment on the morphology of Munida gregaria (Fabricius) (Decapoda, Anomura). Crustaceana 24(1): 197-210 pl. 1 (showed by rearing experiments that Munida gregaria and M. subrugosa are identical; they are different life cycle stages, one pelagic (juvenile phase = M. gregaria) and the other benthic (mature phase = M. subrugosa))
