Extra Distribution Information

Restricted to euclaypt forests of southern Australia apart from M. athertonensis which inhabits elevated tablelands in north-eastern Australia.

Australian Endemic.

Diagnosis

Adults - R veins in forewing free, lacking apical spine on fore tibia, male sternite 2 with anterolateral horns, male sternite 3 with well developed seta comb, well developed spines on gnathos apex, vesica of aedeagus armed with spines, stellate signum. Larvae - early instars strongly gregarious.
