Introduction

This species was described from Moa Island in Torres Strait but Evans (1966) also listed Mt Lamington, Papua New Guinea, in the distribution. Stevens (1990) examined the same PNG specimen which is a female and would not identify it to species. Whether this species is endemic to Australia is therefore unknown.
