Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia xiv 641 pp. [317] (when using the name Micippa Thalia var. indica Kossmann stated [translated from the German]: `With this distinguishing name I call that variety which served as an original for the Herbst and Gerstaecker descriptions of M. thalia'. To ensure nomenclatural stability I have therefore designated the holotype of M. thalia (Herbst, 1803) as the lectotype of M. thalia indica Kossmann, 1877. I have not examined the specimens of Gerstaecker (1856), but if they were to be re-identified as any other species the present action will ensure that Kossmann's name is unavailable).
