- Metula Adams, H. & Adams, A. 1853. The genera of Recent Mollusca arranged according to their organization. London : John Van Voorst Vol. 1(Parts I-VIII) pp. 1-256, pls 1-32. [84] [as Adams & Reeve as amosi Vanatta; Buccinum clathratum A. Adams & Reeve, 1850, is a junior homonym of B. clathratum Kiener, 1834 and B. clathratum Anton, 1838. The valid name for this species is Metula amosi Vanatta, 1913, but these are heterotypic synonyms; see Emerson [1986, The Nautilus, 100(1): 27]].
