Holotype AM C.8971 dry, Sydney, Port Jackson, off Balls Head, New South Wales, Australia [33°51‘0‘S 151°11‘31.2‘E]. - Pecten hedleyi Dautzenberg, 1901 [introduced as a new name for Chlamys fenestrata Hedley, 1901, not C. fenestratus Forbes. However, presently this is unjustified].
