Species Melanterius vinosus Pascoe, 1872

Introduction
'The identity of this species is unclear, as the specimens in the ANIC identified as M. vinosus by A. Lea and E. C. Zimmerman comprise a number of closely similar species' (Pinzón-Navarro 2017: 24). Pinzón-Navarro et al. (2017) listed two species as 'near venosus.
