Introduction
This tribe was originally defined in a paper by Holynski (1988) after some debate about whether or not Maoraxia Obenberger was related to Mastogeniina as thought by Obenberger (1924) or belonged within the Anthaxiini. There is a single subtribe and the relationships appear to be nearest to members of the Curidini. The current definition is from the recent paper by Bílý (2000) and supported by Volkovitsh (2001).
